a joyful experience for all levels

Whether you are a beginner to the Native American style flute or a master level player, there is something for you to discover. During the comprehensive four-day school, students work with award-winning recording artist/instructors within a supportive, creative, and energetic community.

Enjoy a Native Solstice Ceremony, Drum Circle, make new friends, relax, and recharge in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Special classes are available to students registered for the Solstice Flute School; costs vary. Flute makers Brent Haines of Woodsounds Flutes, Dan Selchow of Journey of Life Flutes, and Mad Max Flutes will be on hand with a full offering of flutes available to borrow and for purchase.

Stay for the Solstice Flute Mini-Festival to take in the workshops, listen to live music, and attend evening concerts. Extend the experience on Saturday to take in activities our area has to offer, attend the Woodsounds Tour & BBQ, then enjoy Shelley Morningsong and Fabian Fontenelle in concert.

Woodsounds Flute Shop Tour & BBQ
Join us  the saturday before flute school in 2021

Join flutemaker Brent Haines at his Woodsounds Flute shop in Mapleton, Utah, the Saturday before the Solstice Flute School. The afternoon includes a shop tour, BBQ and the fixings. Join fellow students and bring your instruments to jam! If you have attended in past years, you know what a great time it is to gather together with friends to make music together. Your RSVP is not required, but it will help us plan. Open to all fellow students and flute enthusiasts!
