Registration Policies
We strive to keep our registration fees reasonable and school curriculum rich with outstanding instructors and workshop opportunities in a welcoming and accessible setting.
School Registration
Your registration fee includes core daytime activities during the 4-day school and evening events. Additional ‘tickets’ for family members to attend concerts, the evening Drum Circle, and additional events are available for purchase with registration or on-site. Meals, lodging and transportation costs are the student’s responsibility and not included in the registration fee.
To maintain the optimal experience for our students, we limit registration to 60 students. Once we have filled those spaces, we can include late requests for registration on a wait list.
Special Class Registration
Special classes are offered to students during the school for a fee and are in addition to the core classes and activities. These special classes are generally limited in size. We recommend you register for these workshops at the time of school registration; preregistration is required.
Discounts
Returning Solstice Flute School attendees are eligible for an ‘alum discount’ with early registration valid from August 1 - 31, 2021. Tuition for new and returning students will be at the open registration rate starting September 1, 2021.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds
Cancellation prior to January 1, 2022 will incur a $100 cancellation fee; all other payments will be refunded. Cancellation between January 2 and March 1, 2022 is 50% refundable; 50% applied to the 2023* School. After March 1, 2022, total registration payments can be applied to the 2023* School; no refunds. Should the Solstice Flute School be cancelled for any reason, all payments (school registration and workshop payments) will be refunded minus 10%.
If there are significant changes to the published schedule, instructors or other school activities we will notify you by email.
*Registration payments for 2022 may be applied to 2023 only. If not used for 2023, funds paid will be refunded minus 10%.

financial assistance
The Solstice Flute School understands that the financial means of participants vary greatly. We strive to make this experience accessible to eager participants regardless of their financial situation. The generosity of our donors allows the School to offer reduced rates on the registration fee based on financial need to a limited number of students.
Please realize that we have limited funds for financial assistance situations. Financial assistance provided to early applicants reduces our ability to offer assistance to later applicants. If you or someone you know has a pressing financial situation, please contact Nancy Haga for more information. We ask that you apply for financial assistance only if you would be unable to attend Solstice Flute School without this support.
Many of our students have found their experience at the Solstice Flute School to be expanding and transforming. If this is you, we invite you to help support a student who would not be able to attend without financial assistance. You may make a tax-deductible gift from the heart by donating to the Student Fund. Thank you for your generosity!
