The Homestead Resort, location of the Solstice Flute School & Festival, provides a special room rate of $125.00 for an Traditional (double queen or single king), or $177.00 for a Cottage King Suite (king). Discounted rates are available for reservations made by 5/20/21. Register early as rooms may sell out. Rates available for reservations from 6/17-6/29/21.

Saturday, before School 4-7pm
Join flutemaker Brent Haines at his Woodsounds Flute shop in Mapleton, Utah! RSVP to attend the evening including a shop tour, BBQ and the fixings. Meet fellow students and bring your instruments to jam! RSVP for directions and details.
The Wasatch Mountains offer countless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Stroll the Homestead Resort grounds or travel a short distance to hiking trails in the valley or mountains. Hike or visit the cave at Mt. Timpanogos. Local outfitters offer mountain biking, fly fishing, horseback riding and other outdoor excursions.

Multiple lodging options are available within a few miles of the Solstice Flute Fest venue in Midway and Heber City. Local lodging options such as Airbnb and VRBO are recommended three months in advance.
The nearest major airport to the Solstice Flute School & Festival is Salt Lake City International Airport. Drive time to the Homestead Resort is approximately 45 minutes. Transportation services such as shuttles, Lyft and Uber are available. Many of our students find coordinating ride shares helpful.

The Solstice Flute School experience is due in part to its beautiful location in the Wasatch Mountain Range. Utah mountain weather offers sunny, warm days and cool nights. For your added comfort, dress accordingly and hydrate a few days in advance of attending.
